The Mayer Theatre
Do you remember original single screen movie houses usually located on every main street town in America?
The Mayer, a restored 1949 art deco theatre is truly a gem from by gone days. All of the original neon and chasing traveler border bulbs on the marquee have been replaced for the first time in over 30 years.
The entire theatre has been completely restored. Colorful wall sconces still remain, and the stage still has an operating curtain. The picture and sound are fantastic – all new state of the art digitally equipped. Most first timers are totally amazed.
The original 1949 Manley popcorn machine continues to make the best popcorn around! And the old refrigerated air conditioning system cools with city water.
Take a short adventure to Hebron to see this beauty of a theatre. It’s only an hour W. of Bismarck on I-94, or take old number 10 (the Old Red Trail). There is one show nightly at 7:30 (CT) and prices are only $7 for adults and $5 for kids. Go to www.mayertheatre.com to see what is currently showing. There are several restaurants and bars to also enjoy.
